18/04/08 - A Question of Ethics Here at Frugi we're in the middle of a debate over what certification we should have (so that we can tell the world how ethical we are!) ... we meet the standards of all of them, but we wondered which was most recognised by "the general public". We'd love it if you could email info@welovefrugi.com to let us know which "stamp" you recognise/respect the most:
1. Soil Association 2. Ethical Consumer Best Buy 3. Fairtrade 4. 1% for the Planet 5. Global Organic Textile Standards

01/04/2008 - How Cornwall could soon be growing their own Organic Cotton Farmers in Cornwall have been looking for a new way to increase business in the West Country and have turned their sights to Organic cotton. A unique, Cornish breed of sheep seems to have evolved with a special coat of cotton wool which, when treated in the right way, makes very soft cotton clothes. Farmers think it has something to do with the warmer climate in Cornwall, and a special diet of organic pasties.
