Work for Frugi

Work for Frugi
We have two exciting new roles!

Head of Marketing and Sales

We are looking for a great leader. A dynamic, passionate, solution-based, implementer who can direct our sales and marketing guys to new heights of brilliantness. A ‘people person’, you will have creative vision, excellent strategic and analytical skills and be able to direct your team, driving sales and bringing out the best in them.

About us

Frugi is the UK’s premium organic cotton childrens’ clothing brand, and was voted the best-selling British children’s brand in the UK (in February 2012) by independent retailers in the industry leading Childrenswear Buyer Magazine. Based in beautiful Cornwall the people of Frugi are an incredibly creative, hard working team and are deeply passionate about what they do. This passion for this ethical business has propelled Frugi at a phenomenal growth rate to have stores and customers all over the world. Planet Frugi really is an exciting place to be.

We run two ecommerce websites, www.welovefrugi.com and www.frugiwholesale.com.

About you

You’ll be industry experienced, with a wealth of successful campaigns and strategies behind you having taken companies through a similar growth curve to ours. You seek out, and are excited by, fresh ideas and thinking and have an aptitude for change and re-evaluation at every turn.

Your current team loves you, and won’t want to see you leave. But you empathize with our brand values and can imagine what a difference you could make in an ethically-based organization.

About the Job

This is a great opportunity for the right person to set in motion the key strategies to grow the brand further in both the UK and international markets. Because of Frugi’s growth there is now a need to get an experienced and visionary person onboard to oversee and identify areas that need improving in both our sales and marketing effort. There is never a shortage of innovative ideas at Frugi, but we need these prioritized, evaluated and structured so they deliver tangible results.

In your team will be graphic designers, an ecommerce manager, marketing assistant, PR, as well as UK, and international sales managers and their assistants.

Requirements

Strategic / commercial thinker - ROI is the key phrase here, Frugi is a growing company and as such its resources have limits. Marketing budgets have to be used frugily (excuse the pun). There is a need to be creative and clever to ensure that great ideas and plans are implemented carefully, strategically and success has definite measures.

Passionate & happy person –This may sound a wee bit tree huggy, but the Frugi brand, its aims and ambitions need to excite you every day. It’s hard work being a rapidly growing company, change is the only constant. You have to be prepared to roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. This in turn makes you an inspirational leader and team player.

An Implementer of ideas and results driven – Good Marketing and Sales strategies are a Science – there is an abstract, a method, results and a conclusion. Anyone can have a great idea, but there are few who can really effectively put these into action and tell you exactly how successful they have been. You will feed this information into the wider management team at Frugi to ensure that the whole team is ready for the impact your actions make.

Long term organization / time line management - What is the plan for tomorrow, next week, next year? You need to be super organized and have a clear marketing/sales calendar in place. Frugi is a complex business – often working with three different seasons at once – being an expert plate spinner is an essential attribute of this role, while all the time giving calm direction to those around you.

You’ll be fluent in SEO, PPC, ROI, SMO, POS, CRM and BSH1T. - Online and off line it’s a fast paced world in marketing and sales – you’ll be reading a book on the latest craze on Facebook and how to utilize that to drive the database and increase conversions…just for fun!  It’s important to be innovative.

Comfortable in dealing with people at all levels – whether it be a journalist from The Times, an over-tired brand new mum of a newborn, the head of a fabulous potential co-promotion brand or a celebrity – nothing fazes you. You take everything in your stride and a glint in your eye.

If you have the drive, and the skills to inspire, and fancy taking on a dynamic new role within a thriving, bustling environment (and you quite like Cornish Pasties) then apply now….you belong here!
