PAN UK are working with Dr Robert Mensah on a programme of research and education, helping farmers to learn new techniques to increase the number of predatory insects in organic cotton crops and lower the number of pests. Specifically the research is looking at the use of food sprays made from yeast and shea nut oils to encourage predatory insects. |
The results are very encouraging showing significantly increased crop yields and profitability by conserving the natural enemies of the pests, such as ants, spiders and bees.
