...on a planet far far away lived two little, concerned people called Lucy and Kurt Jewson.
Being concerned (for the planet, not generally) they decided to put their first born son in washable nappies.
Although the world wasn’t saved immediately, they thought that they were taking another step along the long road called “doing your bit”. And they were...but there was a snag. Tom was a big lad. This, combined with his planet saving nappy, meant that his clothes were all somewhat snug around his bottom area.
Lucy, being the entrepreneurial type, had a brainwave, “Kurt?” she said. |
“Yes, my love”
“Why don’t we design our own range of baby clothes that will fit over cloth nappies?”
“Err…because we have no experience of clothing design and manufacture, neither of us has run our own business before, we have secure jobs, a mortgage to pay, a young son etc. etc.”
Cut4Cloth went ‘live’ on June 1st 2004, and the business thrived, selling beautiful baby clothes to fit over cloth nappies, despite Kurt’s concerns! |
