Frugi at the Living Seas Ball

Recently we announced our selection of new environmental charities to receive donations from Frugi as part of the 1% for the Planet scheme. The Woodland Trust and Bumblebee Conservation Trust were chosen to join Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s Marine Conservation Program.

Last week Cornwall Wildlife Trust held their first ever fundraiser Ball, in Falmouth, and Frugi bods were invited as guests to be part of an evening of marine-themed fun and fundraising. The spectacular event was organised as part of the Trust’s 50th Anniversary programme, to celebrate and raise awareness for Cornwall’s amazing marine wildlife.

Hosted by special guest speaker Nick Baker – Vice President of The Wildlife Trusts movement, TV naturalist superstar and ‘Really Wild Show’ presenter each table themed as a marine creature and wonderful art work for sale to raise funds. Guests were tested on their knowledge of the incredible marine wildlife found in our seas and around our coastlines by taking part in the fascinating facts marine quiz. Suffice to say the questions on the Frugi table were answered in the tried and tested Frugi Manner.

With the inclusion of some low-key celebrations of the amount raised by various companies, with inflatable dolphins sporting the figures, a tidal wave of fun was had by all!
