Last Saturday we held a big sale, at Frugi HQ, with all profits going to the orphanage that we help to support in India.
It was our biggest sale yet, with tables piled high with gorgeous clothes and queues of excited Frugi fans snaking down the road!
We always have a lot of fun on these days, and this was no exception. It was busy busy, with Frugi customers coming from far and wide to grab a bargain!
Stella, who runs the orphanage, recently sent us a picture of their new place.
Unfortunately they had to move from their old location, as the land prices have rocketed and the landlord will be selling it for industrial plots.
They are always grateful for help, as they receive none from the state.
For example, it now costs £200 a year to send each child to school for a year, and with over 50 children in Stella’s care this cost is huge along side all the other running costs!
So far you have helped the orphanage pay for a washing machine, cots, toys, a much needed Tuk tuk and helped send many to school.
All in all over £3k was raised for the orphanage.. which is fantastic! That’s enough to send 15 of the children to school for a whole year!!
The next Frugi sale is planned for sometime in the spring. Let’s see if we can top this, and help Stella and the kids even more.
Cheers from us all, and have a great Christmas.
