Trevalgan Touring Park- St ives
Whether you’re a bird, human or semi-aquatic marine mammal, everyone returns to Trevalgan. This family-friendly site is a favourite summer spot for dolphins, seals and peace-loving campers who fall in love with the dramatic north Cornish coastline.Trevalgan Touring Park is an award winning 5 star family run and orientated park just two miles from St Ives town centre which is famous for its stunning beaches, quirky streets, art galleries and top restuarants. The Park is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and the children will love our play area with a new bespoke pirate ship and there is freshly baked bread, croissants and lots of local (award winning) produce available in our on-site shop.
Granary barn- Stithney, Helston
Home of the fabled May-time ‘furry dance’, the county’s second oldest town is a picture-postcard patchwork of pasty shops, ancient pubs (like the 15th century Blue Anchor Inn), and charming old miners’ cottages .. and of course Frugi HQ!
But perhaps Granary Barn’s greatest asset is affable owner Tom. Warmly greeting guests with his faithful Border Collie in tow, this easygoing host is hospitality personified.
As befitting it’s breezy host, there’s a refreshingly informal attitude to pitches. Tom lets campers pitch up where they like – for there’s really no need for regimented spots when you’ve got a trio of spacious fields like this.
Ask ten different campers to explain their favourite thing about East Crinnis Farm and you’ll probably receive ten different answers. Some may like its peaceful rural setting, others might opt for the sparkly-clean facilities and some may even choose the tasty Cornish pasties, served over a night of storytelling round the campfire.
Despite East Crinnis Farms’ wide range of facilities, the general ambience of this place is far away from the ‘holiday park’ vibe you might expect. And as the night draws in, parents sweep up their offspring and head for a sing-song and snacks round the campfire. This is camping as it should be; a lovely atmosphere in a special
