The response to the campaign has been fantastic with children’s charities from all over the world applying. Our charity committee created a shortlist, before the whole Frugi team voted for their favourite children’s charity.

Sick Childrens Trust - pink kids-01The Sick Children’s Trust

If your child was rushed to hospital for lifesaving treatment, would you want to worry about where you’d sleep? To face the choice between leaving them alone or finding the money for an expensive city-centre hotel room?

When a child is diagnosed with a serious illness or has a terrible accident, life for the whole family is thrown into complete turmoil. They may be transferred to a hospital far from home for weeks, or even months of treatment.

That’s where The Sick Children’s Trust steps in. The charity provides free, high-quality ‘Home from Home’ accommodation, as well as emotional and practical support, to families with critically ill children in hospital in the UK. We’re here, so families can be there for their sick child when it matters most.

Frugi customers will be helping to fund The Sick Children’s Trust’s ten ‘Homes from Home’ across the UK, supporting over 4,000 families every year.

Pump Aid LogoPump Aid is a UK based charity working in the field of water and sanitation.

Our area of operation is Sub-Saharan Africa and at present our main programme is in Malawi. Our aim is to ensure communities have access to clean and fresh drinking water and good sanitation and demonstrate healthy hygiene practices.

Through a reduction in diarrheal disease, improved child friendly latrines and clean water may avert more than 860,000 child deaths from malnutrition a year!

Frugi customers will be helping to ensure that the Community Based Childcare Centres have operational child-friendly latrines and wash facilities, allowing children the life chances they deserve.

Anna's Hope 10th Anniversary Logo_Web_NB[2]Anna’s Hope was inspired by Anna Hughes who lost her battle to a brain tumour aged 3.

Brain Tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and for those who survive their lives can be significantly compromised. The charity provides support and rehabilitation to help these children reach their full potential through the Anna’s Hope Specialist Nurse and the Anna’s Hope Therapy Team which supports a pioneering rehabilitation service they co-founded called Brainbow. They help around 150 children each year and also fund family groups.

Now in its 10th year Anna’s Hope continues to be passionate about making a difference and every penny they receive goes towards supporting their aims. Frugi customers will be raising money to fund a Therapist in the Anna’s Hope team.

Hello, I have just seen your flyer for children charities, but looking on the website it looks like you have found what you need? I am a volunteer that runs a children’s adventure playground in inner city London. If you are still looking please let me know. If not could you put me on your mailing list for next year.

    Thank you
    Best wishes Juliet

Hi there our charity applied to be one of this year’s children’s charities. We’re keeping everything crossed at the moment! Any chance of letting us know when you’re liking to choose your charities for this year? Many thanks
