We are big into cloth nappies
After all, it’s where all things Frugi kicked off! Back in 2003, our founders Lucy and Kurt Jewson had their first child and, being lovely eco-friendly types, opted for washable nappies.
When they struggled to find cute clothes to fit baby Tom, they starting making their own fun, organic cotton clothes made to fit over fluffy cloth baby bums.
Frugi grew and grew, and in 2013 we paired up with the folks at TotsBots to produce our own range of reusable nappies in fab Frugi prints!
These days, Frugi baby clothes are still cut for cloth, though thankfully washable nappies aren’t as bulky as they used to be!
One World, One Change
From the 24th – 30th April, it’s Real Nappy Week, so from today until next Sunday we’re offering our fab Frugi Easyfit V4 cloth nappies at 3 for £20/€30.
Real Nappy Week is all about spreading the ‘One World, One Change’ message, encouraging your friends to give reusable nappies a go.
Here’s why reusable nappies are brilliant:
- You can save some cash! The average baby gets through 4,000 disposable nappies by the time they’re potty trained. That’s a cost of about £400 a year (and half a tonne of carbon dioxide!) you could be saving.
- They’re SO much better for the planet. Disposable nappies take up to 500 years to biodegrade and the chemicals and transport used in the manufacturing process are harmful as well. Our washable nappies are easy to get clean and don’t need tumble drying – a big win for the environment.
- About 8 million disposable nappies are binned every day in the UK, so switching to cloth can hugely reduce this amount of waste, and in turn the £32 million a year cost to Local Authorities and tax payers.
- Look how cute they are:
