Corporate Fundraiser at The Sick Children’s Trust, Diane Mcpherson-Emery says:
“Benefitting from Frugi’s Little Clothes, BIG Change has made a significant difference to our work supporting thousands of families across the country with free ‘Home from Home’ accommodation while their child undergoes lifesaving treatment in hospital. With thanks to the generous donations from Frugi and its customers, over the last year The Sick Children’s Trust has been able to keep more families together in free, comfortable accommodation just minutes from their sick child’s bedside.
“While accommodation is free for families, it costs us £30 to support a family for one night, giving them some much-needed respite following difficult days on the ward with their critically ill child. We believe that keeping families together during this time is vital as it supports the sick child’s recovery.
“The money donated by Frugi has gone directly towards providing a ‘Home from Home’ for families when their lives have been turned upside down by their child’s tragic accident or sudden illness. Our ten houses rely completely on voluntary donations to support around 4,000 families every year.
“Frugi has also embraced key fundraising campaigns such as Pyjama Party. Pyjama Party was a new fundraising campaign launched last year, which Frugi generously sponsored, helping us to raise £19,000 to give over 600 families ‘Home from Home’ accommodation for one night.
“We know increasing numbers of families need our support and we need to grow to meet this demand. With the backing of companies like Frugi, we can ensure this will happen.
“Once again, on behalf of every family who relies on our support, we’d like to say a huge thank you to Frugi and its customers for selecting The Sick Children’s Trust as a charity for Little Clothes, BIG Change.”
