Every year, with the help of our amazing customers; we give 1% of our turnover to charity.
As well as helping an orphanage in India and continuing our support for the Cornwall Wildlife Trust; this year we have been supporting three fantastic children’s charities;
Anna’s Hope– A children’s charity committed to giving hope to children and young people diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Pump Aid who work on a variety of programmes that provide clean water, sanitation and hygiene in rural and urban areas of Malawi.
The Sick Children’s Trust- Providing free, high-quality ‘Home from Home’ accommodation, as well as emotional and practical support, to families with critically ill children in hospital in the UK.
We have recently made our final donations to these three children’s charities and have been in touch with them to see what our support means to them.
We’ve really enjoyed working with Anna’s hope this year; especially our ‘Fairy day’… Frugi staff dressed up in their tutus and fairy wings for the day, mountains of fairy cakes were eaten and we were clearing up glitter for weeks afterwards! We raised an extra £128.85 for the charity from staff donations 🙂
Carole and Rob from Anna’s Hope told us what our donations mean to their charity…
Every penny that Frugi have donated has gone to support the Anna’s Hope Therapists in the work they do providing specialist neuro rehabilitation support to children with Brain tumours. This will help provide support to children through physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy. As a result, these children are able to cope with the side effects of their tumour and treatment and help them reach their full potential.
Their plans for the future…
Anna’s Hope are now helping over 125 children and their families each year. Our current plan is to consolidate and sustain the Anna’s Hope Therapy Team. We want to prove the model we have pioneered so that it can be rolled out nationally.
What Frugi’s support has meant to Anna’s Hope this year…
We are a small hard-working charity and we need to raise £200k each year to help children with brain tumours. Support from Frugi has contributed significantly to this target and also raised awareness for Anna’s Hope and brain tumours nationally. We have felt supported and encouraged by your wonderful staff. You really care about helping others make a difference and we are proud to have been your charity partner this year.
