Originating in Japan in around 710BC Furoshiki originally referred to a cloth used to wrap kimonos at bath houses so bathers would know who kimonos were whose!

These beautiful cloths evolved to be used to wrap and transport important goods and treasures and  were even known to be adorned with family crests and emblems!

Over the years using Furoshiki became popular with families and cultures around the world and even today Furoshiki cloths are still used by Japanese school children to their carry bento boxes around.

We think our Furoshiki wrap is the perfect environmentally friendly alternative to wrapping paper and makes giving gifts extra special and thoughtful.

No need to spending ages finding the end of the sticky tape and cutting the wrong sized paper, Furoshiki can be simply tied to create a perfectly wrapped pressie! Follow our instructions and get creative!
