Bee Happy and help our bees!
Did you know that there are over 270 different species of bee in the UK?
Our wild bumblebees and solitary bees are struggling due to loss of flower-rich habitats. For example, 97% of the wildflower meadows have been lost in the last century. Other factors like climate change, pesticide use and diseases also play a role.*
By planting Bee friendly flowers in your garden, window box or tubs, you can help to attract more of our fuzzy friends!
The Bumblebee Conservation Trust have lots of information about protecting bees, identifying species and which bee friendly plants are best for your garden! They even have a fun 'learning zone' with activities. crafts and games for kids aged 4- 11
