Job Purpose:

We’re seeking a talented Knitwear Designer, to lead the knitwear design process and create a beautifully crafted, sustainable knitwear collection to meet the highest standards. Inspired by our British heritage, we are looking for a passionate, innovative and collaborative Designer to join the product team, who can navigate the ever-changing landscape of fashion.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and have a thorough knowledge of current trends.
  • Create seasonal theme boards and colour palettes that draw from our rich heritage of timeless designs, whilst evolving the brand to incorporate more contemporary and ageless inspiration.
  • Research both aspirational brands and competitors in the knitwear market, understanding our USP, whilst highlighting any missed opportunities.
  • Create comprehensive sourcing boards to send out to suppliers.
  • Build and manage yarn and spec libraries.
  • Lead the development of original knitwear designs, including sketches, technical drawings and specifications.
  • Select appropriate yarns, stitches and knitwear techniques for each design.
  • Action samples in a timely manner, liaising with Buying and Suppliers to ensure that deadlines and the critical path are adhered to.
  • Manage the product from design development through to production, working closely with the technical and buying teams to mitigate any production and costing issues.
  • Build strong relationships with both long and short lead suppliers, pre-empting any challenges.
  • Travel nationally and internationally for both inspiration and development trips.
  • Present and communicate seasonal boards, colour palettes and designs to the wider team.
  • Work closely with the product teams and garment tech to fit the collections, ensuring that quality, fit and design are at the heart of every piece.
  • React strategically to trade and performance feedback to enhance the knitwear collection

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Experienced in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign
  • Possess a strong technical understanding of knitwear construction.
  • Have a proven track record of developing successful knitwear products.
  • Experience of developing brand appropriate patterning, with an understanding of colourways, scale and technique.
  • Experience working across both short and long lead suppliers.
  • Able to create comprehensive technical packs for all knitwear
  • Have a good understanding of fit and garment construction, yarn and trims, with an understanding of quality and finish for higher priced garments.
  • Be able to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • A minimum of at least 5 years’ experience in knitwear design.
  • Portfolio examples of tech packs/ art works, demonstrating a clear understanding of knit across gauges, stitches, textures and ply.

Group Corporate Finance & Development Manager

Refined Brands are digital pioneers of the ethical fashion movement, with a clear focus on sustainability, British heritage, and high-quality manufacturing. Refined Brands’ first investment was completed into the Celtic & Co. brand in February 2021, with Turtle Doves joining the group in September 2022, then Kettlewell Colours and Frugi in November 2022.

Role:

The role is responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing business growth opportunities for our group of brands, both in terms of new revenue channel opportunities for our existing brands and external business opportunities, by way of acquisitions. A successful candidate in this role will be able to demonstrate tangible revenue growth over a twelve-month period, along with setting strategies for longer-term sustainable growth opportunities, all doing so in a profitable way that drives additional bottom line EBITDA, as well as top line sales.

Key accountabilities & responsibilities include:

  • Third Party Channel Development – identifying and establishing partnerships with existing and new partners, delivering incremental revenue streams. Being able to hold business-driving conversations with partners, whilst fully understanding the commercial and financial models of each revenue stream, ensuring that any new opportunities are EBITDA-enhancing for the Group.
  • Acquisitions – leading on the end-to-end process of new acquisitions. Starting with evaluation and assessment of any potential targets, both from a strategic fit and financial assessment, through to co-ordinating the efforts of due diligence, assistance with deal structure/funding and ultimately integration of new business into the Group. Finally monitoring and reporting of performance post-deal vs expectation pre-deal.
  • Fundraising and Corporate Deal Structures – working closely and supporting the Group CFO on fund raising activities and structuring any corporate transactions e.g. share issues, share buy-backs etc.
  • Short-, Mid- and Long-term Strategic Planning – along with Brand MDs, Group CFO and Group CEO, developing the short- and longer-term objectives and targets of the Group, leading on the annual Business Plan. Periodic review and evaluation of the current business performance and strategic direction vs the 3-Year Plan, amending where necessary.
  • Exit Planning and Preparation – ensuring the Group not only grows revenue and EBITDA to meet required targets, but also continues to develop the story for exit. Ultimately upon exit, working closely with the Group CFO, CEO, and Chair, preparing the IM and presentation decks, coordinating the requested documents and information from potential buyers.
  • Industry and Competitor Benchmarking – collating industry and competitor information e.g. financial performance, pricing/markdown strategies, brand positioning, operational initiatives. Reporting and presenting on this information in a concise way that pulls out the key relevant impacts on our Group and provides suggested action points to gain a competitive edge over rival brands.
  • Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination – working closely with internal teams e.g. marketing, operations, finance, sales to ensure alignment and successful execution of business growth initiatives. Preparing and presenting detailed reports and business cases to Senior Leadership and Board members.

About The Candidate

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in a professional services firm and/or in a Corporate Development/Business Development/Corporate Finance role within a company.
  • Experience in negotiating commercial contracts, with track record of successful completion.
  • Experience in a business acquisition and sale processes, with track record of successful completion.
  • Preference for Retail experience but not an absolute necessity.
  • Experience working in a multi-brand or group structure would also be preferable.
  • Experience of managing stakeholder relationships across a business and at Board/Senior Leadership level.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.

Junior Merchandiser

Reports to: Merchandiser

Purpose: The Junior Merchandiser will work closely with the Merchandiser, supported by the Assistant Merchandiser, to prepare and analyse the commercial data required for range planning, consumer and trade buying, and in-season trading.

This role is designed to develop strong commercial and analytical capability, supporting trading and buying decisions across the business. All final trading, buying and stock decisions are made in partnership with, and signed off by, the Merchandiser.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Analysis

Prepare, update and maintain core trading, stock and sales reports for the Merchandiser and wider business, ensuring accuracy, relevance and data integrity.

Assess data to validate accuracy and relevance, highlighting anomalies or risks.

Analyse performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, summarising insights to support commercial decision-making.

Set up and maintain product-level analysis attributes to enable effective reporting.

Support the Merchandiser with weekly (Monday) sales and stock reporting.

Own the preparation and weekly update of stock and sales reports, working with the Merchandiser to interpret performance and agree actions.

Prepare Consumer and Consignment sales reports, building ongoing analysis of performance and distributing insights to the wider business.

In-Season Trading

Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support in-season trading decisions across Consumer, Trade and Consignment channels.

Work closely with Ecommerce and Marketing teams to support price changes, product status updates and promotional activity.

Support the Merchandiser in building off-price trade packages.

Be proactive in analysing performance and suggesting gender and category-level ranges for promotional activity and markdown, with guidance and sign-off from the Merchandiser.

Actively propose trading actions, including markdown and promotional suggestions, supported by performance analysis and aligned with commercial objectives.

Work alongside the Merchandising team to ensure the accuracy of data within MNP.

Regularly review stock and sales performance across all channels, escalating risks and opportunities to the Merchandiser in a timely manner.

Range Planning

Prepare seasonal option plans by category, age and gender, monitoring progress against plan throughout the range build process.

Support the Merchandiser in the development of seasonal range plans.

Provide trend and historical performance analysis, including seasonal best sellers, to support Buying and Design teams in making informed decisions.

Work with the Merchandiser, Buying Team and Trade Sales Manager to support seasonal buy quantity decisions, using trade best sellers, historical sales performance and sell-through as guidance.

Support in-season monitoring of spend against OTB, highlighting risks and opportunities and proposing adjustments where appropriate.

Build and maintain PO templates to support the Buying team in placing seasonal supplier purchase orders.

Prepare size ratio recommendations for Consumer, Trade and Consignment purchases (including additional in-season and pre-order requirements), based on historical performance and channel behaviour.

Ad-Hoc & Operational Support

Maintain and improve reporting data sources to support routine and ad-hoc analysis, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.

Support the set-up of new product codes, descriptions and barcodes in agreed formats.

Provide cover for the Assistant Merchandiser when required, including sales reporting, stock management, booking deliveries and replenishment support.

Ecommerce Trading Manager

About the Role 

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Ecommerce Trading Manager to lead the online trading performance across our group of purpose-led fashion brands.

Based just a few miles from Newquay, we champion British manufacturing and ethical, sustainable, high-quality clothing. Each brand has its own story, aesthetic, and loyal customer base, united by a shared commitment to sustainability, natural materials, and thoughtful design.

This role will be pivotal in driving profitable growth, optimising site performance, and delivering outstanding customer experiences that reflect each brand’s values and personality.

You will lead the eCommerce trading team to ensure every digital channel is performing to its full potential — from launch planning and conversion optimisation to promotional execution and trading insight.

Key Responsibilities:

Trading & Commercial Performance

  • Lead group eCommerce trading strategy, driving sales, profit, and growth across all brands.
  • Oversee daily and weekly performance, ensuring sales, AOV, and margin targets are met.
  • Plan and execute trading calendars, promotions, and launches with brand and merchandising teams.
  • Work closely with the merchandising team on stock and pricing to maximise availability and protect brand integrity.
  • Optimise DTC and third-party channels for performance and profitability.
  • Drive global trading strategies, tailoring creative and communications to each market.

Customer Experience & Optimisation

  • Champion continuous improvement in CRO, UX, and on-site merchandising.
  • Ensure storytelling and product presentation reflect each brand authentically.
  • Partner with tech and ops to maintain seamless site performance.
  • Use data and insights to enhance conversion, engagement, and retention.
  • Work with the brand ecommerce teams to develop SEO strategy, across traditional search engines and AI platforms.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and develop a high-performing trading team across brands.
  • Align with Marketing, CRM, Merchandising, Product and Performance teams to connect traffic and conversion goals.
  • Drive collaboration and continuous improvement across all eCommerce functions.

Reporting & Insight

  • Own trading reports and dashboards, translating data into actionable growth plans.
  • Share digital retail insights and trends to guide innovation and strategy.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven success in senior online trading or commercial roles.
  • Strong fashion retail background, ideally within premium or sustainable brands.
  • Experience managing multi-brand or multi-site operations.

  • Hands-on experience with Shopify Plus or similar eCommerce platforms.
