We only ever use natural, sustainable materials, and keep our production miles to a minimum, sourcing mainly from Great Britain and manufacturing our sheepskin footwear and accessories by hand in our Cornish factory.

Please note, as this is our busiest time:

  • You must be available to work all dates between 1st October and 31st January.
  • Available to work hours between 8am and 5pm (usual shift is 9am-5pm)
  • Available to work on Saturday between November and Christmas
  • Accrued holiday paid out at contract end.

Key responsibilities include:

  • You will use a mobile handheld device to accurately pick and sort customer orders.
  • You will achieve the daily performance target for the task and work to deadlines.
  • You will work on other tasks when required, such as packing, cleaning the work area.
  • The role will include using step ladders and lifting boxes of stock (up to 15kg)

The Candidate:

  • Will have experience performing in a fast-paced environment.

Group Commercial Finance Manager

About the Role:

Reporting to the Group Head of Finance, as the Commercial Finance Manager you will be partnering closely with the Trading teams across Merchandising, Ecommerce, Marketing, and Product, to provide commercial decisions to support the Senior Leadership team. You will be delivering at a group and brand level as to deliver regular trading/KPI reporting and insight/analysis, whilst identifying profit improvement opportunities.

Key Elements of Role:

  • Monitoring financial targets and budgets in accordance with the group’s strategy.
  • Support the Group Managing Director, subsidiary Managing Directors & Group Head of Finance working on one-off and ad-hoc financial reporting requirements.
  • Understand key trading drivers and provide decision-making support to ensure delivery of KPI trading targets.
  • Develop, collate, and maintain a robust and timely daily, weekly trading, monthly report focusing on sales, trading margin and stock, providing insight on the key areas of movement.
  • Ensure all reporting remain relevant and appropriate to the evolving needs of the business.
  • Lead periodic performance reviews in partnership with Managing Directors/Heads of Marketing, Heads of Digital and Senior Merchandisers to understand trading performance, highlight risks and opportunities, ensure ownership and accuracy of forecasts, and provide challenge where necessary.
  • Production of the monthly management information pack with clear insight and analysis, in partnership with Group Head of Finance and Financial Controller.
  • Alongside Senior Merchandisers, be an active participant in the open to buy and intake margin target process.
  • Continually monitoring and reviewing stock management including intake, dispatch & terminal position; highlighting any areas of concern to the Managing Directors and Group Head of Finance.
  • Drive rigor and consistency into regular reforecast processes across the group with goal that there are no surprises throughout the year.
  • Preparation of integrated budgets and forecasts including indirect cash flow planning.
  • Take full ownership for budgeting, forecast and 5-year planning cycles to ensure a joined-up approach of targets across all functions with full “buy in”, including critically reviewing the numbers and ensuring a sensible level of challenge is set.
  • Own and regularly update the rolling integrated 3 year/ 5 year group model. Translate high level modelling into operational P&L; KPIs and performance targets for current and future brands.
  • Understand the product life cycle and British factory teams and work with product pillar (product, buying and merchandising) teams to improve working capital.
  • Support the evaluation of new selling channels and customer team initiatives in modelling new business opportunities.
  • Support with any ad hoc analysis and projects including assessment of brand acquisitions and performing specific due diligence tasks.
  • Assess, maintain and promote social and environmental performance throughout the Team in line with the company’s Corporate, Social, Responsibility (CSR) Policy, Values and Mission.
  • Any other duties as directed by Management.

The candidate:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a similar role
  • Demonstrate solid financial modelling skills; evolving in line with business and external requirements.
  • Introduce better ways of delivering deep, accurate quantitative data to stakeholders.
  • Analytical / strategical thinking, result-oriented personality, highly developed sense of responsibility and strong teamwork
  • You'll bring a balanced view to decision making with credible contribution beyond financial analysis / implications.

Group Financial Controller

The Role

As the Group Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial management of our group of brands. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of financial information, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, providing strategic financial guidance to senior management, and managing the financial control, budgeting, and forecasting processes. This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders at Director/Heads of level.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present financial reports for the group, including consolidated financial statements, and variance analysis.
  • Analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess the group's financial health
  • and identify areas for improvement.

Financial Control and Compliance:

  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and relevant regulations.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard the group's assets and mitigate financial risks.
  • Conduct periodic financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor and manage the group's cash flow position, ensuring sufficient liquidity for daily operations and long-term investments.
  • Implement effective cash management strategies, including optimising working capital, managing debt, and evaluating investment opportunities.
  • Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure funding as required.

Financial Strategy and Business Partnership:

  • Provide strategic financial advice to senior management, contributing to the development and execution of the group's business strategies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering financial insights and recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and promote professional development opportunities while ensuring the team adheres to accounting principles, policies, and best practices.

Financial Procedures and Taxation

  • Ensure accounting policies comply with the relevant accounting standards and legislative requirements, through the development and maintenance of thorough financial procedures for the group.
  • Ensure all finance records are kept accurately and securely and in line with legislative requirements and to combat fraud. Recommend appropriate financial policies and monitor and report on adherence.
  • Ensure that the Company’s financial systems are robust, compliant and support current and future
  • growth. Recommend improvements to financial systems and controls as required.
  • Ensure tax compliance across our UK and International markets, managing issues as required.
  • Management of general, credit and other insurance renewals.
  • Management of Group multi-currency bank accounts and FX hedging (in conjunction with Board) and
  • Finance Director.
  • Ensure efficient management of supplier payments and credit control/payment reconciliation.

Senior Merchandiser

Reports to: Trading Director

Direct reports: Merchandiser, Assistant Merchandiser, Junior Merchandiser

Purpose: You will lead and drive merchandising for the Consumer and Trade channels, including building product assortments that meet the financial targets of the business. You will deliver across a diverse retail framework a consistent approach for the individual brands which maximises commercial opportunity. You will identify risks to sales, margin and inventory levels and opportunities for revenue and margin growth. You will propose and execute mitigation/incremental activity to remain on target across all KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

Budget Planning/Marketing

  • Work with Finance Director and Trading Director, to define, monitor and deliver the Consumer and Trade revenue and NAM budgets for each year.
  • Responsible for driving regular reviews with Head of Finance, highlighting risks and opportunities, forecasted sales, stock levels & OTB. Continued development of Merchandising tools and documents to support this process.
  • Responsible for stock intake budget to achieve company sales plans.
  • Translate annual budgets into seasonal budgets, feeding into range planning, and providing a benchmark for seasonal sales reporting.
  • Execute forward financial KPI planning including OTB.
  • Develop an annual strategic merchandising plan including option plan and mix, margins and price architecture.
  • Work with the Directors on future product assortment across the key channels. Identify needs of global business units to create and execute balanced and profitable product assortments and ensure demand is met.
  • Work with direct team to analyse and report on business performance and trends (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and seasonally).
  • Maintain analysis of assortment planning, in-season analysis and post-season deep dives to ensure lessons learnt for future strategy.
  • Develop and enhance analysis functions.
  • Deliver effective stock management, improving stock-turn for the whole business and work stock activity to achieve maximum/minimum stock holding targets.
  • Liaise with Buying team to ensure maximum availability for all the channels at launch and availability by style throughout the season
  • Create demand forecast by month and week for all Frugi sales channels.
  • Agree budget for all channels with Directors along with stock and sales KPIs and discount strategy that feed into the demand forecast.
  • Work with the Marketing team to create Seasonal Promotional Plans. Identifying dates for promotions and ascertain forecasted sales targets for individual promotions, based on historic data. Initiate and develop actionable promotional calendar.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental and cross-departmental working practices to support delivery of company objectives
  • Continual development and improvement of Merchandising planning tools and documents

In Season Trading

  • Monitor in-season all channels performance vs budget and at line level, overseeing production of weekly line report to monitor style performance, passing on recommendations to Ecomm/Marketing/Buying/Design team
  • Identify promotional requirements to drive sales/exceed budget and maximise stockturn, produce plans which identify incremental sales and margin opportunity and set all prices for promotions/markdowns, ensuring an acceptable margin is being met. Utilize marketing levers to optimize trading to planned targets
  • Forecast sales vs budget for full price and markdown activity for all sales channels.
  • Reviewing regular sales and stock reports for all sales channels (at Gender/category level) – feedback performance to Directors, identifying areas for opportunity/de-risk if necessary.
  • Oversee management of stock between Consumer, Wholesale, Off price and Consignment to ensure the stock is channelled correctly to maximise sales.
  • Regularly reforecast seasonal terminal stock risk to review with Directors and suggest strategies to manage effectively.
  • Oversee monthly update of continuity styles sales performance and stock levels and reforecast future intake needs. Instigate new POs within budget plans or rescheduling as necessary.
  • Provide Merchandising updates to Head of Finance for Monthly Board review meetings

Range Planning

  • Create Seasonal Option and Sales Plans by Category, age and gender (monitor options vs plan through the range building process)
  • Provide necessary Trend Analysis (to include Seasonal Best Sellers) to support Buyers/Designers in making sound Buying/Design decisions.
  • Work with Buying and Wholesale teams to decide on Seasonal Buy quantities by style for all sales channels (using the Trade Best Sellers for guidance and previous sales performance/sell-through’s by style for Consumer)
  • Oversee the creation of all Size Ratio’s for purchases, based on previous performance.
  • Oversee the creation of buy sheets to pass for production detailing PO requirements by sku in a timely manner.

Ad-Hoc Reports/Analysis

  • Oversee the creation of new product data, ensuring data is accurate and up to date.
  • Support growth of both the Wholesale and Consumer business by providing all necessary analysis/reports required to make profitable decisions.
  • Work with Wholesale team to build stock packages, build viability proposal and analyse profitability of New Business Opportunities.
