Why We Love Organic Cotton

When Frugi was born we decided we’d strive to be as ethically and environmentally responsible as possible, and we still work to these same values more than a decade later! We want the best for our planet and for you, our loyal customers, that’s why our cotton had to be organic, it’s better for everyone from the farmers who grow it to the little ones who look so ridiculously cute wearing it!

Certification License License

We are proud to be certified both by the Soil Association and Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

The Soil Association certify and audit us for our GOTS licence.

GOTS is the leading standard for textiles made from organic fibres worldwide. It shows that we commit to the highest level in environmental and social standards - It’s the Top dog!...the Gold Standard for organic cotton!

Under GOTS our factories are audited regularly to check that workers are provided with a safe and clean environment and are paid a living wage (which means either the national standard or industry benchmark, whichever is higher).

No nasties...

No nasties...

We don’t use chemicals commonly used in textile processing, and we don’ t allow any pollutants which can destroy our eco-systems. This means happier farmers and factory workers, and a happier planet.

We require all of our factories to tell us how much water and energy they use to process their cotton and help them find ways to reduce energy and water consumption.

No nasties...

The best for your little bundle…

We believe organic cotton is the best choice for children’s clothing, it’s unbelievably soft and snuggly, no nasty chemicals have been used during the whole manufacturing process so it’s much kinder to delicate skin, especially for those who suffer with eczema.
